About the Production:
S.A.T.: The Musical began as a joke in early May of 2007 as a group of young filmmakers brainstormed concepts for their next film project. However, that joke somehow evolved into a 28-page, sans-lyrics screenplay by the end of June. During the summer months, a dedicated team of producers, directors, writers, and lyricists worked nonstop to turn the simple screenplay into a full-blown movie-musical production. By September, S.A.T.: The Musical was ready to make the jump from script to screen. Filming took place in various locations in Monmouth County, NJ from September to November. Post-production began almost as soon as there was footage to be edited and continued into the new year. A closed screening of the film for cast and crew was held on January 17, 2008.
